This is not an ordinary morning, because today I will witness the moment that many people always look forward to when they are at Magelang—sunrise at Bukit Rhema. I had long heard about the beauty of the sunrise from the crown of this building, and finally the opportunity came.

With enthusiasm, several friends and I had previously made a reservation to enjoy the sunrise. Indeed, to enjoy this special moment, visitors must make a reservation for a minimum of five people. When we arrived at Bukit Rhema at 4 am, the atmosphere was still very dark and quiet. The fresh mountain air was immediately felt as soon as we arrived at the parking lot. The friendly officer welcomed us, then directed us to go up to the main building to the crown section on the legendary 7th floor.

From the entrance of the building, I climbed the stairs which took us closer to the crown on the 7th floor. From the 7th floor, you could feel the cool air that soothed your skin, while waiting for the sunrise.

The mountains stood proudly—Mounts Sumbing, Merbabu, and Merapi towered in the distance, showing off their splendor under the sky that was starting to glow orange.
